We are proud to be working with Gold Mountain Coffee Growers for our new Nicaragua Pacamara Collab 10oz coffee. They are a social enterprise that works in Nicaragua to connect small farmers and coffee producers with roasters abroad. GMCG is known for their innovative, hands-on approach: sourcing high-cupping specialty coffees to desired flavor profiles that are often used in coffee competitions. They also focus on reinvesting in the communities where they operate, providing needed social resources like free computer classes, medical assistance, running water in schools, and educational supplies. Their own farm—Finca Idealista—has also won multiple awards for their sustainability efforts.
The Pacamara beans themselves are a novelty because of their size: they are twice as big as a typical Central American coffee. The flavors—with notes of Apple, White Grape, and Toasted Walnut—are also unique because they combine the profiles from two different varietals in one, making this offering a virtual “blend” unto itself.
