Description
Nicaragua Selva Negra is one of our most virtuosic single-origins, with its traditional hazelnut profile summoning notes of stone-fruit + apple — all in a cup of solid, clean + medium roasted coffee that celebrates the visionaries in our lives:
The creatives, the nurturers, the builders, the makers, the crafters — artists who can see a space or a canvas or material and turn it into a glorious creation.
The beans are grown by the Kuhl family in the mountainous region of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Dating back to 1883, their La Hammonia estate is in its sixth generation of coffee cultivation. Eddy and Mausi Kuhl, along with their daughter Vikki, continue the time-honored tradition started by their German ancestors who immigrated to Nicaragua for the purpose of starting a coffee farm.
